Absentee Bids
For those unable to attend our auctions in person, our Absentee Bid system can help you track your bids in real time and give you a constant update on the status of your bid!
*subject to certain terms and conditions.
At Todywalla Auctions clients have a multitude of ways to send in their absentee bids if they are unable to attend the auction in person.
The most preferred way is our online Absentee Bid module that enables users to enter their bids online in real time and tracks the status of their bids till the start of the auction. To use this feature, clients need to be registered user with a valid login id and password on www.TodywallaAuctions.com.
Other conventional methods to send absentee bids include sending the Postal Bid Form via email, fax or post. However, new clients need to be registered with us before their bids are entertained.
All Absentee Bids are held in the strictest confidence
All Absentee Bids and Absentee Bidders are subject to the Conditions of Sale as mentioned in the catalogue.
Clients are advised to log their Bids at your earliest convenience, as bids are processed on “first come, first served” basis. Hence where two bids are received for the same amount, the bidder whose bid arrived first will get preference over the subsequent bidder.
The Absentee Bidder should clearly state the lot number and the maximum price willing to be paid, exclusive of Buyers Premium and Taxes. The auctioneer would the bid up to that bid amount on behalf of the Absentee Bidder against other bidders and try and procure the item for the minimum possible amount. For instance a lot with a Start Price of Rs 1100 will be sold to an Absentee Bidder for Rs 1100 even if his maximum bid is Rs 1500 if there is no competition from any other bidder.
Todywalla Auctions confirms receipt of all Absentee Bids, however if you do not receive a confirmation please do get in touch with us immediately as we may not have received the Absentee Bids sent by you. However, non confirmation of Absentee Bids is no grounds for Absentee Bidders to reject lots.
Bidders should confirm their bid receipts with the auctioneer, the auctioneer cannot be held responsible if they do not receive your Absentee Bids.
Bid increment is normally in multiples of 100s and request Absentee Bidders to keep their bids to the nearest multiple of Rs100, “odd” amount bids like Rs 1111 will be treated as Rs 1100 and will be rounded at our discretion to the nearest actual bid.
Successful bidders will be notified at the earliest and full and final payment is expected within 7 days of receipt of invoice by you, subject to the Conditions of Sale as mentioned in the catalogue.
Lots won and paid for will be forwarded by speed post or courier and all costs including insurance will be added to the original invoice.
